It seems like a impossible thing, however that is my energy to keep studying this field.

When I was five, I was a kind of weak child. I was shorter and less stronger than peers. My mother was very worried about me because of that reasons. Someday, she told that there was something to eat before entering elementary school. I didn't doubt about that, so I wanted to eat. On the table, there was a bowl of soup. The smell was awful like a fishy smell. I'd never smelled that before. I tried to drink it at once, but it was hard to taste. After I became an elementary school student, I asked what was that. My mother answered, " It was dried frog's soup. One of relatives said that it was good for the weak." I still remember that smell and taste. Probably, I can't forget it forever...

We have a similar tradition about epitaph. We usually bury people’s corpses in their favorite place or their birthplace. We usually set up the gravestone with impressive saying. It can be the saying which was repeated by the person who was buried. Also, sometimes we write his history briefly for their descendants. Actually, I’ve never thought about my epitaph because I don’t want to think about my death. However, if I will be buried, I’d like to be written like this. “ The man who could cherished all things and could love his whole life have slept here.” I can’t involve whole my ideas, so rest of things are depended on my descendants. They may have a great things for me.

http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/nation/2009/04/117_42766.html
Summary:
In Kim Meeyoo’s article “73 Percent of Foreigners Think Seoul is Expensive,” she states that above seventy two third of foreigners, living in Seoul, responded that general prices, especially housing costs in Seoul, seem expensive. Moreover, the inhabitable environment ranked high for satisfaction levels, however, the economic environment and the environment of foreign language service were low. Forty five percent of foreigners have perceived that living in Seoul with their kids is good for their education.
Reaction:
In Korea, especially in Seoul, as far as I know the housing prices have been swelled for a long time. Many past Presidents have tried to reduce the inflated price of housing, but nothing has changed. The housing policies were changed many times; however, the prices were not decreased. The supply of housing has increased annually, but there are still problems. According to principles, increasing supply leads to decreasing demand. But, in the housing field it is a little different. That is because, houses cannot be replaced by other houses. This means, if I want to purchase a house is located in a specific site, it can’t be replaced by other houses. I want to buy a house that is nearby the 63 building, not just a house is located at any other site. So, the location of a house can affect the housing prices. Also, generally people buy houses for selling, not living. They want to buy it more cheaply, and they resell it to other people. They usually aim for a marginal profit. So even if the policy is changed many times, the price of the housing, especially located in a special place, will not go down. Nowadays, the Korean government has a solution which is pulling up the possession fee. It is kind of tax that is charged to people who have more than one house. I think it can be used to decrease the prices of housing. For example, if I have two houses, I have to bear the tax for possession of the house. It will be a progressive tax, so someone who has three or four houses pays more than people who have one extra house. It would be hard to renovate at those prices, but the housing markets need some sort of response like this. I hope the price will be stable soon.

The violence of society on the violence in the media
The problems with violent boys who are influenced by violent media such as cruel video games are complicated. I’d tell you that violent media can affect boys who play with them. There are several reasons for supporting these problems. First, boys who enjoy playing with violent video games and watching violent cartoons have a possibility to do the same as what they watched and played. It seems that people who used to play violent video games are more likely to be confused between the real and the unreal. They can feel that killing someone or attacking someone is not as violent as they thought. So, it leads boys to commit cruel crimes. Also , the freedom of getting a gun makes boys commit them easily. Therefore what I’d like to tell is that we have to keep away from the violent media and from guns. Even though it is not easy to do, if we still have these problems, we should prohibit them as soon as possible. I think that is the only way to be safer.

We have many interesting stereotypes has been used to define what types of people they are. Today, I'd like to tell you just one of them. In Korea, the most general stereotype is based on regions. Korean usually thinks that people who come from southern part of Korea are blunt and hasty. Frequently, it causes problems between different regional people and them. Southern people's pronunciation is more harsh than the others, so sometimes it makes misunderstanding. People who come from western part of Korea are gentle and authoritative. Also, some of Korean think that they speak slowly. Now, you can imagine that the conversation between southern person and western person. What do you think about that? As you expected, it will be in trouble. But, that is not a serious problem. Because western people are gentle, so they may not say like this. " You are so critical!!"

I know our flag seems too difficult to draw and understand. But I’m proud of our ancestors. It was very hard attempt when they try to create our own flag. Many obstacles which had come from other Asian nations disturbed to make own flag. Their an indomitable spirit has been existed in all Korean people's mind.

Valentine's Day is also a kind of romantic memorial day among couples. Many couples whisper lovely messages each other and females give chocolate or red roses to males who are loved by the females. But, in usual, as far as I known, most males don't prepare some gift for celebrating this day. Because, we have another memorial day, which is called by White Day, that is similar between Valentine's Day. In Valentine's Day, females express their mind to males. As well as, in White Day, which date is March 14, males express their mind to females. If I received some gift from my lover or other near friends, I give some present for them. Not have to be gorgeous, not to be expensive, just I express thank about their attention or respecting like that. The present usually can be candies and flowers to lovers, and we go to nice restaurants for dinner. Even we celebrate a little bit separate; we commemorate each memorial day as a chance to confirm our love or deep friendship again.

Have you ever heard about Hanbok? These clothes are Korean traditional dress. Because of its beauty and shapeliness, many foreigners buy Hanbok as a remembrance. Most of Korean often wears Hanbok on a Holiday such as Chusuk which is Korean Thanksgiving Day and Seolnal which is Korean New year day. There are different way to wear a hanbok between woman and man. I want to explain how to wear it, but I don’t know exactly. It is difficult even I’m Korean. In fact, Hanbok has a fault is difficult to move. When I wore a Hanbok, I couldn’t move my limb flexibly. But because of that problem, in recent, it is contrived a simplified version of the traditional Hanbok. Even though new version Hanbok is made by comfortableness, but it contribute to be general. These days, not only children but also adults usually wear their Hanbok on Holidays. I have a new one in my hometown, but it may not fit for me. I bought it when I was a middle school student. So, I’m thinking of buying a new Hanbok when I come back to Korea.
Also I want to give Hanbok for my international friends as a gift.

My grandfather taught me filial duty and strong mind. Unfortunately, he died when I was child, but his spirit alway stay around me. As far as I know, my grandfather is a upright father as my dad's father, also thoughtful grandfather as my grandfather. Even though I was child, I could learn many things from him. He really liked me and my brother, he used to teach us courtesy and ability that can overcome problems which is against to me. For example, 'How can I handle problems? How can I have right attitude?' things like that. He was also good teacher for me. Although, he already died, I'll never forget his teaching that had become my fundamental reaction. I think my grandfather is the best teacher in my life. The best teaching that I still remember is ' The real thing has come out from our mind.'

First essay(1/14/09)
The question is,
What do you want to learn this year?
How is that going to help you with your plans for the future?
Absolutely, English. My purpose to study English is to live better life.
Actually, Learning English is not always needed to live, but these days in Korea, many of companies require English skills from their volunteers as a qualified person. So that is the reason why I have to study English. I would like to improve my English abilities, however I should be calm. If I hurry to study, it becomes a problem. So, I keep studying steady.
